This is a wall bed mechanism for sale. It is a king-size, or can be used as 2 singles. It must be bolted to the floor, and then the spring mechanism easily lifts and lowers a mattress, which can be kept with the bedding on. We had it in a cupboard, but it doesn't have to be in one. It is a great way to use a room for occasional guests, while still having full use as an office, tv room etc...
It is a very high quality mechanism and cost over £1000 when we bought it, but we don't need it now.It can hold up to 400 kilos. It was purchased from www.wall-beds-direct , and is the "Wiskaway" 1500 x2000 mm Victory model (can be 2x 750mm). The website WWW.Wallbeds-direct.com shows how it looks in a cupboard as well as how it works. This is a solid steel frame and extremely strong and durable, and it is very heavy.
